Unabridged Birth Certificate - R1950.00

A computerised Full Birth Certificate containing the details of an individual’s biological parents or legal guardians. The Department of Home Affairs issues this certificate based on your official birth record.

Unabridged Birth Certificates are essential for:

  • Immigration applications

  • Dual citizenship applications

  • Travelling abroad with children

Parents are required to provide an Unabridged Birth Certificate for each child when travelling internationally, applying for foreign citizenship on behalf of a child, or immigrating.

Unabridged Marriage Certficates - R1950.00

Full marriage certificate containing the details of both parties as well as the marriage officer. This is the official certificate required for travel and other legal purposes.

Most marriages solemnised between 1994 and 2017 require a B130 Marriage Register to be obtained from the Department of Home Affairs.

This is a computerised certficate of a couple’s marriage record

Abridged Birth Certificates - R950.00

This is a computerised printout certificate which contains an individual’s details

Vault Birth Certificates - R1950.00

This is a copy of the original Birth registration form that is completed by a child’s parents when a child is born 

Divorce Registration - R2 550.00

When a married couple get divorced , the divorce needs to be registered at the department of Home Affairs as well as at the courts.

Apostile Stamps- R2100.00

This is a form of authentication issued by the department of foreign affairs that verifies one’s documentation as authentic and issued by the relevant authority

Police Clearance - R2200.00

This document is issued as a result of background check by police. It proves evidence of an individual’s credentials

Letter of Impediments- R2150.00
An Impediment Letter is an official document issued by the Department of Home Affairs confirming whether a person is legally free to marry. It verifies your marital status and states that there are no legal obstacles preventing the marriage.
This letter is often required when:
• A South African plans to marry abroad
• A foreign national intends to marry a South African
• Authorities need formal proof that you are not currently married
The document forms part of the legal marriage process and helps ensure that the union complies with both South African and international marriage laws.
Application Status Check - R500.00 per application

Need to know where your application is in the Home Affairs process? We offer a Status Check service that verifies the current progress of your application on the Home Affairs system and provides you with a clear update.

Expediting Existing Home Affairs Applications

 Expediting & Fast-Tracking Services

 Speedy Document Services can assist with expediting (fast-tracking) selected Home Affairs applications that have already been submitted and are active on the Department of Home Affairs system. This service is ideal for clients who have applied and need the process finalized as soon as possible.

 

We can assist with expediting the following existing applications:

  • Adoption applications (court finalized and already submitted at Home Affairs)
  • Surname change applications (already submitted at Home Affairs)
  • Amendment applications (already submitted at Home Affairs)

 

How it works:

Once we confirm the application is active on the system, we proceed with the expediting process and provide updates along the way.

 

Please note: Expediting is subject to the status of the application on the Home Affairs system and related departmental processes.

Retention Letter (South African Citizenship)

A Retention Letter is an official confirmation from the Department of Home Affairs that a South African citizen has retained their South African citizenship before obtaining another citizenship. This letter is often required by clients living abroad who are applying for foreign citizenship or who need to confirm their SA citizenship status.

Passport Expediting (Local & International / VFS Application)

Need your South African passport urgently? Speedy Document Services offers an expediting (fast-tracking) service for passport applications submitted locally and from abroad, including applications lodged through VFS Centres.

 

Once your application reflects at Pretoria Head Office / Passport Section, we can assist with speeding up the processing and provide progress updates until finalisation.

 

We can assist with:

  • International passport applications submitted via VFS
  • Passport applications lodged at SA embassies/consulates (once received in SA)
  • Local passport applications (where applicable)

 

Please note: Expediting timeframes depend on Home Affairs system processes, quality control and dispatch/courier timelines.

Foreign Birth Registration (Babies Born Abroad)- R2200.00

Speedy Document Services can assist with Foreign Birth Registration for newborn babies born outside of South Africa. This process registers the child’s birth on the South African system and allows for the generation of the child’s 13-digit South African ID number (where applicable).

 

Fee: R2,200.00

Processing time: Typically quick (subject to Home Affairs processing)

 

Please note: This service is for newborn/young children born abroad who require registration on the South African system to obtain an ID number and related documentation.

Smart Card (ID)- R1600.00

This is a replacement for the green bar-coded ID book. It serves as proof of a person’s identity . Currently the smart card ID book is only for South Africans born in South Africa

Newborn Birth Registration - R 2200.00

The Birth of a new born baby must be registered within 30 days after birth . The birth can be registered by the parent of the child

Marriage Registration -R2500.00

Marriage Registration (Local & Foreign Marriages)

 

We can assist with registering your marriage on the South African Home Affairs system, including foreign/international marriages, where applicable. This helps ensure your marital status is correctly updated and reflected on the DHA system.

 

We can assist with:

  • Registration of marriages concluded in South Africa (where required)
  • Registration of foreign/international marriages on the SA system
  • Issuing system proof once the update is completed

 

Please note: A foreign marriage registered on the SA system does not always result in a South African marriage certificate being issued, but it ensures your marital status is updated correctly
